The new Duralast H8 DL also vent's from the side now. For example, all of the Duracell batteries pictured above are 'side venters'.which don't require the vent kit like the Interstate MTP-93 and old Duralast 49 DL. Most of the current 49/H8 batteries mfg'd by Johnson Controls, Exide, and East Penn.vent on the side like the original battery.

Does anyone know if either of the other 'replacements' have the vent tube? I have a problem with not having the vent available as the battery mounts in the passenger compartment under the seat. It had no provision for a vent tube, so I didn't take it. Went to pick it up and they had a 48/H6 waiting for me.

Don't be afraid to ask them about all the batteries they offer that are in the 49/H8 and 95/H9 battery class size in lead-acid or AGM type.since you're not comfortable with the 750 CCA rating. It appears that you're attempting to take advantage of the remaining warranty that you're due.so it's understandable that you're holding out for an appropriate replacement. The battery specs to take note of are listed below.you may see some, or all of the specs varies by battery brand as to what info they list on the label: The CCA may be lower but if the RC or Ah (amp hour) is higher.then it may equal out. The 49/H8 & 95/H9 batteries tend to have higher amp hours (80Ah/90Ah/100Ah).whereas the 48/H6 & 94/H7 batteries tend to be 70Ah or 80 Ah batteries.ДЄlso take note if Interstate is offering an AGM (absorbent glass mat) battery or a lead-acid battery.the specs will be slightly different. You can go with a 48/H6 or 94/H7.but the specs will be slightly lower.and if you live in a pretty temperate environment.you probably won't have any issues. The battery size to look for is the 49/H8 or 95/H9.
